Upper jaw surgery ---- is it likely to change my nose??

Hi im new to this group, and sooo glad to find that so many people

have gone through and are going to go through the same kind of

surgery as me. i havent got my braces yet, should be getting them

within the next six months and will be having my top jaw moved up and

maybe bottom jaw moved forward although theyre not sure yet...anyways

my orthodontist said that the surgery may change my nose, but they

will counteract the change in surgery or something?? im not sure what

they can do to counteract it... but is it common for the nose to be

affected in upper jaw surgery?? im not sure if that made much sense

lol but if you think you can help me please please please reply
