Guest guest
how long will you be in the hospital? i was only there for one night and i just brought some clothes to go home in, a coloring book (which i never used), and a stuffed animal. i'm 26 by the way, just in case the coloring book and stuffed animal threw you off. lol! my dad brought a pad of paper and a pencil - which came in very handy. everything else, the hospital provides. they gave me some vaseline for my lips and ice packs. you might want a hairbrush too or something. i mean, you're not going to look glamorous by any means, but sometimes i feel even worse when my hair looks bad. mine is naturally curly, but i blow dried it straight before the surgery so i wouldn't have to hassle with crazy, ratty hair. oh, also, i normally wear contacts, but you're not allowed to have them on during the surgery so i had my glasses with me. i brought my contacts just in case, but i never put them in. i think that's about it. if you're only there for one night like i was, then pack light... you'll be too out of it to read the first day and then too antsy to get out of there the next day. i've been eating 's Soup at Hand (i still have to strain it though), slim fast shakes, ensure and tonight i'm going out with a girlfriend of mine for milkshakes at Baskin-Robbins... i've been craving a chocolate/peanut butter shake. good luck! > Can someone PLEASE send me a list of items I might need in the > hospital and some of the food you blended? > > Holly

Guest guest
Have a look at Fiddlesticks' geocities website on orthognathic surgery. I believe there are links on this site, and I know they are on oss2. There are lists, suggestions, etc. Even recipes.
