You should probably ask your surgeon about it, but I had a problem

with my outer toes being numb for about a month after surgery. My

sister's feet were completely numb right after surgery, but got

better before she went home. I think it has to do with the position

you're in during surgery. For us, it was an almost upright/standing

position. I'd still ask your dr. or even anesthesiologist about it.

Good luck.

I'm only 11 weeks post-op, but I had surgery with Dr. Warden in Dr.

Booth's group. He took out both my appendix & gall bladder during

surgery.

Some ideas: Scarves, head wraps, moisturisers (while you're inside),

saline sprays and gels. If you really think you have a sinus

infection, head for the doc!

Alix - I went through this as well. It does go away after you begin

to adjust to the new breathing (I think because the nasal passages

are larger or in my case widened since my upper jaw was widened). I

was very sensitive to the cold and it hurt to breath in. I just

tried not to take deep breaths - short little ones instead - that

seemed to help. The swelling takes awhile to go down - at a little

over 3 months - I still have just a little puffiness. Just hang in

there - your body will adjust to the new changes.

Alix,

I had my surgery on 3/12/03 and it was very painful to breathe in

cold air afterwards. I had to walk around with a scarf or tissue

over my nose, which helped a lot. I can't tell you what happened

first - that my nose stopped hurting or the weather got warm, but I

can say that when things started to get cold this past October, I

never felt any pain, so hopefully that means your pain will go away

as you heal too.

Best!

I have noticed in my loosing weight that on my left side, under my left breast i have this droop of skin like sort of in a rounded curve shape and i only have this on my left side and not on the right, any one else ever have this ? I am not sure if it is just the way loose skin starts to fall till it moves on farther south or ................? also this is sort of in the area where i new stomach is i think, i sometimes feel a little musclar discomfort there but nothing bad, i have a follow up appt with my surgeon around july 11th or so, but i was just curious.............

Here is a cool thing , i had my drivers license out the other day and it says i weigh 240 ( i really weighed 283 or so at the time.............) well now i weigh like 195................isnt it a bitch to actually weigh LESS than what our license says ? It makes me want to go out and get a new license just to have the correct weight on there.....................!

I have not noticed any droopy skin but honey these

puppies of mines are sagging so bad. Now to think

that I might have to wait 8 more months until I am out

a year to get my breast fixed it crazy. I guess I am

back to wearing those darn push up bras.

I don't have an answer for you about the skin but I just had to renew

my license this past february. I was 210 at the time...now I'm 188 I

think I'll wait a year or so THEN get a new one :-) But you'r right,

it does suck - but in a good way.

I know what you mean. My sis helped me pick out bras that put the

" girls " back where they belonged. Without it they end up in my lap.
