Guest guest
Eileen, You know I didn't even ask how long it was! I went in at 11:45 and remember waking up at around 3:30. I will have to ask when I see the doc on Monday. They moved my upper jaw up 5mm and my lower jaw forward 20mm! I was shocked that it was so much! I did not have genio. What is genio exactly? I'm in Seattle, Wa. Where are you located? Hope to talk to you soon, Britt > Hey, Britt. How long was your surgery? Mine was 6.5 hours! I was > expecting 4, but the doctor said we were right on target with 6.5, and > everything went smoothly. Did you get a genio, too? That added about > an hour for me. > > Cheers, > Eileen
Guest guest
Genioplasty is moving the chin. Mine was shortened. Sounds like you had an underbite. I had an overbite (weird to say HAD!). They moved my upper forward 4 mm and lower back 3mm. My chin was shortened by 4mm. I'm in Baltimore, MD. I woke up at 3:00, and I remember being shocked at how long it took, but I was quickly out of it again. I'm already starting to eat more and feel better. I keep getting puffy and congested at night still, so I hope this goes away soon. Eileen > > Hey, Britt. How long was your surgery? Mine was 6.5 hours!
