Beth,

Thanks for responding! I have been using a humidifier and I think

it is helping some. do you know if it makes a difference if it is a

cool vs. hot moisture? I have a cool one now and am wondering if I

should get a moist heat one instead?

Eating has been really hard for me thus far. I've been drinking

cans of ensure. That is really all that sounds good to me right

now. I really thought I'd be into the milkshakes, but that is not

the case (yet!).

How long ago did you have surgery?

The humidifier I've been using is a steam one. I'm not sure if it

works better than a cold humidifier but after experimenting with hot

water and steam in the bathroom it seemed like hot would be the way

to go.

My surgery was a week ago today! I'm just waiting and waiting to

start feeling back to normal again... guess it will be awhile

though.

Eating has been hard for me too. My mom is making me beans right

now. :) They're canned and very soft and I feel like I'm getting

some kind of substance when I eat them! Mashed potatoes next... and

more Boost or Ensure later tonight.
