Guest guest
Cammie, I see the surgeon tomorrow and will tell him that and also ask the questions about cleaning! It doesn't seem as bad today, but I can still 'taste' yeast. I am banded, and have been swishing with salt water. What happens when you get a yeast infection in your mouth? I did see some white gunk (can't see my tongue) on one of my front gums. How do you get rid of an oral yeast infection? Should I get some yogurt drinks? Thanks for your response! Guest guest
I did post surgery get alot of plaque on my teeth - mostly on the biting surfaces not on the inside or outside. If it is thrush (yeast) then you can easily treat that by getting an oral solution - new born babies get that alot. If you want a quick and dirty fix - get canestin - yeah that canestin. Vaginal yeast infection stuff - of course a new tube Or any mouth antifungal. there's also a natural valerian or something. its really purple though! Guest guest
Yogurt, with live cultures, or buttermilk can help. But there are some prescription pills that will knock it out more quickly. Best I recall, they are pricey, but worth it. And I'm sorry, but I don't remember the name. I also don't know whether they can be crushed and dissolved. It's not something you want to let get away from you, as you're probably taking in a lot of sweet stuff just now, and that could encourage it. > Cammie, > I see the surgeon tomorrow and will tell him that and also ask the > questions about cleaning! > It doesn't seem as bad today, but I can still 'taste' yeast. Guest guest
That stuff is purple gentian, Shiloh, and you can get it at a pharmacy. It's inexpensive, but really messy. And it stains anything it touches. I wouldn't want to attempt it with a wired shut mouth. And I'm not at all sure what it would do to the teeth under those circumstances, either. I don't think there would be long-term damage to them, but I think one might well have a really purple mouth and elastics for a while.
