URGENT - TIME SENSITIVE – RESPONSE NEEDED IMMEDIATELY

On behalf of the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), and Mr. Warren Hewitt, Government Project Officer, we request your assistance in identifying Minority Community-Based Organizations (MCBOs) to attend a government-sponsored Executive Developmental Technical Assistance Institute. The first Technical Assistance Institute for the leadership of MCBOs is scheduled for November 26-28, 2001 at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore, land (see attached details).

The dates for the other Regional government-sponsored Technical Assistance Institutes are as follows:

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI

DECEMBER 17-19, 2001

Region V: Chicago, Illinois

States: Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin

Region VII: Kansas City, Missouri

States: Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS

JANUARY 9-11, 2002

Region IV: Atlanta, Georgia

States: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee

Region VI: Dallas, TX

States: Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

FEBRUARY 4-6, 2002

Region VIII: Denver, Colorado

States: Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming

Region IX: San Francisco, California

States: Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Guam, Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, American Samoa

Region X: Seattle, Washington

Also, we ask that you share information about this valuable Institute on your websites, list servs, and/or newsletters.
