Guest guest
Hi Rodrigo, How are things in Argentina? When the surgeon cuts the lower jawbone, they cut it so that there is always bone contact as they slide the jaw. The bones never do get " separated " . It's kind of hard to explain the cut so I have provided a web link that shows the cut. http://www.oc-j.com/june00/presurg.htm My surgeon used screws to put me back together (rigid fixation) so; my jaws were not wired shut, just a couple of elastics were used to train my muscles for the new jaw location.
