Guest guest
I agreed wholeheartedly . I come here to read about what has helped others, not to read an unending list of symptoms which we all share. I find that sharing ideas about what people have found helps them is far healthier. I started reading here to see if there was anything that has helped others that I could adapt to my own circumstances, and soon found that support means different things to different people. So I keep coming back from time to time to see if anyone is happy, or if anyone has good news to share. My good news is there are lots of fibromyalgia support groups, lots of information on the internet about our bodies and how they work. I hope everyone is learning, using their search engines and doing something other than just being depressed and giving up? So with that said, I will visit from time to time. I'm hoping you all have a wonderful day with minimal pain, and stress. > Attitude has a lot to do with how you feel. Guest guest
Hi, Vonn here. In response to ATTITUDE, what you said is correct about the positiveness we should have. But I throughly disagree with you about this site. People with health challenges need a place to vent, and I don't take it negatively because the response you receive from venting is very positive and up lifting. God made all of us diferent and we shouldn't have short patience with others, whom you think should mirror yourself. Everyone deals with pain differently and I don't think you should make such a judgement about this site. We can't vent to our family and friends because half the time they don't think we're sick. Also, there are people in this group that have a lot to deal with, some more than others, so please give them a break. I think this group is wonderful and very informative. Guest guest
Vonn and Dana, I'm with you, there are just some days that I don't want to be positive, I'm sick of trying to be positive, I need to be pissed or vent. Sometimes being positive just doesn't work for me and no matter how positive I try to be I am in servere pain. But if it works for others, thats wonderful, I am very happy that you can find something that does bring you relief. - melanie@... To err is human - to forgive canine. Guest guest
Thought some folks here may benefit from this! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes. Swindoll ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
