Guest guest
Hey all, I know it's been a long time since I posted. I am a few days shy of being 10(!) months post-op and everything's going great. Still in braces, of course, but that's not so bad. So...I was at a family funeral recently and was chatting with a long- lost cousin. She has been having severe TMJ problems and after I told her all about my long sad surgery story she said that perhaps ortho surgery might help her--her jaw's asymmetrical. I suggested that she consult with an orthodontist in her area. Trouble is, she's in NJ and I'm on the other side of the continent (Seattle) and don't know where she should go for initial consultation. Any recommendations would be hugely appreciated... Guest guest
If Philly's close enough for her, I wholeheartedly recommend my surgeon -- Dr. Fonseca. He's the former dean of the dental school at the University of Pennsylvania. He did both of my surgeries -- the SRPE in September 2002 and the upper/lower jaw surgery two weeks ago. For an orthodontist, she's best to stay closer to home. Fran PS: Regards to Seattle. It's my former home! > Hey all, > I know it's been a long time since I posted.
