Guest guest
Lynn, My prayers are with you. You'll do just fine. Meet you on " the other side " . Smooches surgery tomorrow!!! Hey everyone, My surgery is tomorrow, scheduled for 10:30am. I'm kind of nervous, even though i have been waiting for this for about a year now. I'm really excited to see the new outcome! I guess I am just nervous because it's " surgery " . So, any encouraging messages, advice, tips and prayers are much appreciated. I'm having lower jaw back. I'll be home from the hospital sometime Friday so I'll try to post sometime how it went!! What all can I expect tomorrow and in the upcoming week? Thanks. -Lynn
Guest guest
I am 6 days post op from having lower jaw surgery similar to yours. So far I have experienced no pain, alot of numbess around my lower lip and chin, and swelling. The swelling is getting better each day and the feeling in my lip and chin is coming back slowly. I was banded the first day and that was probably the worst thing I went thru. After the bands come off you can move your jaw much easier. I also sound a little weird when pronouncing my " s " and " x " and some other sounds, but the Doc said that will come back. He said its due to swelling, new jaw position, and possibly that the base of my tongue is numb. But that also is getting better each day. You will do fine. Good luck and let us know how it went. -Rob > Hey everyone, > My surgery is tomorrow, scheduled for 10:30am. I'm kind of nervous, > even though i have been waiting for this for about a year now.
