Yes HE does Glenda..! I had my mom here when Makeila was born. There were 6

women in this house and RICH! Poor guy. My mom had to be watched constantly

and a new baby besides. But those were wonderful times when I look back now.

I would climb into bed with my mom and Makeila and we would just sit and

talk forever. Lots of laughter!!! It seems so hard at the time, but the

memories are wonderful.

Thanks for reminding me!! Love you lots

That is why they call us the sandwich generation! No

it is not because we eat sandwiches it is because we

care for the elderly and the young. You should have

seen me when I had My Dad and Shae was little. I

would push Dads wheelchair with Shae's stroller wedged

between me and the Chair. Those were the days!LOL

Then lets hear it for sandwiches! I was there at one

time, taking care of both of my parents, and my brand

new grandson, the one who is now our son. It was not

easy, but I am so grateful that I was able to do it.

I took care of both my parents for five years, then my

mom for an additional three years after my dad died.

Our grandson was born with a cleft lip so there was

surgery, special care involved there. Thank God that

my health was much better then than it is now. Any

yes, God is the one who got me through those days.

Hello, Sissel, and welcome to the group. I hope you

will get as much out of it as most of us do - it is a

continuous source of support and information. My name

is Liz,I am English, but work for a Saudi Arabian

family (full time!) At the moment we are in California

but will probably be returning to Saudi at the end of

March. I am 57 and have been diagnosed with RP for 4

yrs, (I think) but have been having symptoms for much

longer.

I take 20MG methotrexate, once a week, 50mg Imuran

(which is probably the same as Imurel and 10mg of

prednisone (similar to prednisolone) your treatment

sounds fairly normal!! But we find from talking to

each other that some treatments suit some people more

than others, and we all have to work with our

individual doctors to find the correct combination for

each of us. I hope you are feeling better now you

have started treatment, but sometimes it takes a while

to kick in, so be patient! I feel much better than I

used to, even if I don't always feel great!!!

Good luck, and we all look forward to seeing you post!

Love Liz
