Guest guest
Hi Sue, As far as I know, Kaiser doesn't deny coverage for any pre-existing conditions. That said, you still might want to get covered now rather than later because your Kaiser surgeon and your orthodontist should compare notes and be on the same page. I'm amazed that Kaiser will be more expensive. It's usually the cheapest option. Maddie
Guest guest
Sue, I was pre-approved through CIGNA last year, and then had to change to Kaiser this year. I'm now scheduled for surgery in June which will be covered by Kaiser. I didn't have any issues with pre-existing conditions coming up when I saw my new PCP and surgeon. Of course, you may want to check with your HR contacts to verify the policy they issue doesn't have a pre-existing clause. Guest guest
im not sure if any one can help me or give me advice with my problem. well we finally have gotten a chance to take my daughter to see Dr.Ponseti(so excited!!) but the thing is my daughter has Medicaid here in Texas and I am trying to get them to pay for the visit over there BUT they dont want to. Their excuse is that there are doctors here in Texas why do you have to go all the way over there? Has anyone ever encountered this problem? If so did you get them to pay some or all of it? I spoke with Mark Mason in billing at the university and he gave me an idea of the price range i am looking at and OMG i can not believe it!! I am taking her regardless of the price. Beleive me I waited this long I will find a way! A friend of mine who works for my daughter's dr. is trying to convience FirstCare to pay. I really hope some one out there can give some advice. Thank you! and BL CF 12/16/

Guest guest
I cant help much because our medicaid was only supplementary coverage. We had normal insurance as well that paid 80% and also - thru contract - dropped how much it all cost anyway; still our portion would have been a burden on us financially if we had had to pay a lump sum. The University will accept payments, so you dont have to pay all at once.
