Guest guest
Thanks Deb. Well I am having alot of back pain and mid section pain. But I guess that is because of the gallbladder removal. Feels like the midsection hurts all the time. Feel like a dadgum turtle. Get on my back and can't flip over, lol. Oh well. There will certainly be better days ahead I'm sure. Guest guest
No it is not just NY, TOPS is International and has many chapters in each state. There are many overseas chapters, Germany, Japan, Spain just to name a few. I am from Alabama and there are about 60 chapters in Alabama alone. A. B. LAP RNY 3/22/03 BMI 65/54 386/311 - 75 LBS. Guest guest
Hi, TOPS means Take Off Pounds Sensibly. It is a support group that meets once a week and it is weight loss friends helping each other. You weigh in and then the best loser of the week is announced, someone will have a short program on helpful suggestions, information and tips on diet and nutrition. There is always a friendly contest going on to give incentives. The meeting last about one hour and they always inspirational. They hold annual conventions in each state where they crown a king, queen and king and queen runner-ups that have lost the most weight and have reached their goal weight. They also give divisional awards for those who have not reached their goal, but have lost the most weight in their division. They also recognize the ones with the Greatest Improvements. They then hold a TOPS International convention and crown a king, queen, and their court consisting of all the divisions best losers. They really treat you like royality. I know, I have been there and done that too. It is a great organization. Hopefully I will beable to return when I can get around better. You become great friends with the members. I was a member for over 20 yrs. I would have been a lot bigger than I am if it had not been for my TOPS Family. A. B. LAP RNY 3/22/03 BMI 65/54 386/311 - 75 LBS.
