Whatever the cause, the inflammation of an artery damages its wall and may impair circulation to an organ. It may also result in general manifestations of inflammation, such as fever, weakness and just feeling unwell {malaise}. Treatment of Vasculitis is based on the type, location and severity of the individual problem. It commonly includes use of anti-inflammatory drugs, especially corticosteroids, in an attempt to control the inflammatory reaction. I hope this helps someone... I see my Rheumy this coming week. Maybe he will up my Cyclosporine. is half way through her treatments. She has lost the hair on the side of her head where the tumor is. The compazine is helping her with the nausea. We picked her up after her treatment yesterday and brought her to our house for the day. That seemed to boost her spirits. I want to know how you are doing Lu, otherwise I worry about you. Are your bad days from the RP or the meds? She is losing most of her hair now but she is adjusting to the loss well. I'm still flaring. Saw my Rheumy this morning. I have to up my Pred. again and he upped my cyclosporine by 50 mg. a day. Also have severe Tendonitis in my right shoulder and thumb. If it does not get better he wants to do steroid shots. Take care my friend, Love you Lu Lu, The vasculitis is in my left foot, one spot heals then another starts. Getting lots of scars and hurts to wear a shoe. I see my Rheumy this coming week. Maybe he will up my Cyclosporine. is half way through her treatments. She has lost the hair on the side of her head where the tumor is. The compazine is helping her with the nausea. We picked her up after her treatment yesterday and brought her to our house for the day. That seemed to boost her spirits. I want to know how you are doing Lu, otherwise I worry about you.
