Adele:

Ken had Parkinson's, and shaking is not really a part of it unless you

were diagnosed pretty young and took a lot of Sinemet early on. J.

Fox shakes as a side effect of the Sinemet. He is at the stage that if he

doesn't take it, he cannot move and if he does take it, he shakes. Ken used

to shake all over when his blood pressure dropped too fast from standing up.

Sometimes he shook from head to toe and passed out. His Neurologist and

Cardiologist likened it to a seizure, but of course it was not. It was only

his BP dropping so very fast. In his case, it was a Cardiologist that his

Neurologist called in who diagnosed the SDS, but it was the Neurologist who

treated him. Of course, his autopsy showed his BP problems were from DLBD,

not SDS at all but we treated him for PD and SDS and for dementia, and it all

helped.
