I totally agree, sometimes experience is a good thing and then fresh out of school makes doctors more "gung ho." This dermy has a very good reputation so hope he can figure something out. Why did you have back surgery and when? I also had back surgery in 1982, gill laminectory with fusion. Is this associated with the RP? Have had ear flares for over 20 years, then doctors didn't know what to do about it...What have you been told? Thanks... Sue

Wellllllll just got back from dermy appointment for the dermatitis.

He gave me two small samples of a med that didn't burn my hands up.

My hands look like I dipped them in boiling water with all their

other ointments and creams. He says to stay on the Pred. Regular Dr.

stopped the Plaquinel thinking this could be a drug reaction. That in

turn will higher my ANA. The dermy doesn't seem to have a clue. I

asked if he had any idea what is causing this. He said no problably

all my other health problems but that a lot of times they never find

the cause. I still have lesions on legs and arms plus more on back

and stomach. I brought along some info on dermy for rp and he

wouldn't even look at it. You try to be an informed patient and was

treated like a hypocondriac. Has anybody gotten the impression that

if doctors can't find an answer they intentionally piss you off so

you don't go back? I'm so tempted to throw all this crap in the

garbage and let my body heal itself....Any thoughts are

appreciated...Sue

Hi Moe, its just such a damn frustrating experience. I am seriously thinking

of holistic meds and over the counter stuff. Every time I turn around its $80

for that med, $77 for another med. They write these things out like your

made of $$$. The sad part is nothing is helping. I just researched

drugstore.com and their prices are alot better than Walgreens. Does anybody

else an online drug supplier? Just want to check prices....See ya....Curley

Curly,

I've never thought about this before, but you know, it does make some sense.

Food for thought................

Hope you find a good doctor soon that can help you.

Sorry you went through all of that.

Sue, I'm with YOU!!! I have experienced that after a few visits they throw

their hands in the air and say " YOU JUST HAVE TOO MANY THING WRONG " They

are really frustrated, but not as much as I am. We have to change insurances

in a few months and I will have to start all over again with drs. (Boy,

can't wait for that one) LOL When you find that garbage can, make sure it's

big enough for all my stuff too.

hugs
