Guest guest
Sue, I've had these growths on my hands for over ten years. Had them biopsied and the docs still could not tell me what they were. Only thing I know is they are not malignant. Sandy > Well I drove for 5 hours to find out nothing. Dermy looked and looked > and couldn't figure it out. Guest guest
I agree Dawn, I've been yelling and hollering and do have a good GP. He gives me drugs and support but he told me last week he doesn't know that much about RP. With no insurance doctors don't do the tests etc. that we need. Am going to check on our state plan today and see what it costs. Thanks....Sue

Guest guest
Hi, sounds typical that they wouldn't know but if not malignant that is a plus. Dermy seemed to be concerned, actually spent 1/2 hour with me. Maybe a week from Friday I'll know something else. He did seem like he wants to figure it out. The only thing I really know is high ANA, pain and bad ears. I did walk to much yesterday and can hardly move today, thank you fibro! ....Sue
Guest guest
Thanks , my feet concern me because of the diabetes. Also decided not to use his ointment on hands, seems to burn them up. Its weird when I use it on the other parts of the body its fine but my hands actually burn. I had to wash it off yesterday with cold water because it hurt so bad. Oh well....Sue

Guest guest
Sue, sorry that the cream burned your hands. That is strange. Do you have diabetes because of the pred? What were your symptoms. My sister in law was just dx and she had no symptoms at all. I know about the thirst and urination and blurry eye site. The way my feet hurt all the time, I was just wondering. I heal very slow, but am blaming that on the pred. I hope they find out what the heck it is you have. Please let us know when you find out. Guest guest
Hi, no I had the diabetes since 98 so its not the pred. The ointment doesn't bother my feet or other lesions just the hands. Luckily my diabetes is well under control, unless I'm on pred. Then the levels go up. I have used plan old hand cream with no additives today on my hands and it does seem a bit better. Very dry and I'm on my 3rd peel. Actually my kids tease me about me being strange. For years doctors couldn't figure out whats wrong with me and now the dermy can't figure it out either. He does seem like he may...we'll wait until next friday to get biopsy. I told my daughter not to laugh just start cleaning out her basement for when I move in and she has to take care of me...who gets the last laugh....Sue

Guest guest
I totally agree, sometimes experience is a good thing and then fresh out of school makes doctors more "gung ho." This dermy has a very good reputation so hope he can figure something out. Why did you have back surgery and when? I also had back surgery in 1982, gill laminectory with fusion. Is this associated with the RP? Have had ear flares for over 20 years, then doctors didn't know what to do about it...What have you been told? Thanks...
