Can anyone who has had upper and lower advancement tell me how their

cheek structures were effected? I'm afraid that my cheeks will be

less visible and I may have to get cheek implants. Any words of

advice out there?

I asked a similar question last week and got lots of good information

back from people on this site and Site 2. Try running an archive

search with " implant " --there are lots of older posts on both sites

as well. According to my surgeon, an upper advancement can make your

cheekbones less prominent (especially if you, like me, had very

little to start with). There are some risks associated with

implants, though, so it's worth checking into on these sites. I also

checked some plastic surgery websites to see before and after

pictures--unfortunately was unable to find any that had pictures

involving cheek implants AND jaw surgery (check with your doctor on

that one).
