Guest guest
Sherry Will be sending extra special prayers your way. I know it has to be hard for you because you are the one sitting back and having to watch this happen! I really hate RP because it has so many victims. Not just us with the RP but our loved ones. Your Mom has to be proud of you right now for just being there for her. We are here if you need us! Lots of love Glenda Re: Digest Number 1661 , They have Mom in the I.C.U. . Guest guest
Sherry, Please take heart. I have severe tracheal involvement and have been hosptialized with chronic lower lobe pneumonia. I spent 7 days in a respitory ICU, but pulled through. The doctors should be able to get your Mom stabilized and well again. It is a very scary place to be, but a lot of us have been there. I think it has to be harder on the family, not being able to do anything but pray, comfort and watch. Please know that you and your Mom are in my prayers and if I can help in any way please don't hesitate. Love R skyfireranch@... " Sherry Shepherd " wrote: They have Mom in the I.C.U. . Guest guest
Hi , As you probably already know, I just recently got out of the hospital from having lower lobe pneumonia. I had it back in August also. I am using inhalers, Nasacort, Atrovent, Serevent, and so on. A year ago, the Dr. at Duke, my Rheumy, did chest x-rays and CAT scan of my sinus area. Found no involvement. This past February I had another sinus CAT scan and it was negative. It scares me to know that it is so easy for me to wind up with this lower lobe pneumonia and how easy that can lead to other things. Have you had the pneumonia more than once? Hope you are feeling good these days. Also hope I have not bothered you with my rambling.. Love and Prayers, Lucy

I can't even remember the number of times I've had pneumonia! Also have chronic bronchitis and asthma! Way back when, I was also diagnosed with bronchiectosis (sp?) which they said that the bottom brochi of my lungs was so blocked that they were dying? Does this make any sense? And does anyone know what bronchiectosis is? (besides just one more thing to worry about>) Love, Judy
Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I have just passed my one year anniversery (had rny on 9/20/01). It has been a pretty wild year. I was 285lbs, Size 24 on the day of my surgery and now I hover between 110 and 112 size 2 or 4. I am having surgery on Nov 8th the remove excess skin on my thighs and hopefully they can do something with my calves. I have already had my batwings, tummy and chest taken care of. I am mostly happy with the results so far just might need some minor touch up under my arms. The only real problem I have been having is that I am iron anemic. I was a little even before surgery. The doctor thinks I am not absorbing the iron pills. The plan is that next week I will get IV Iron to get me back up to normal and then it has been suggested that I might need Iron Shots. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and takes Iron shots? If so how often do you take them and do you give them to yourself or have to go into the doctor's office? Hope eveyone is doing well. Becky
