Hi all,

Well, I'm into 6 1/2 months of wearing braces (for the second time)

in preparation in for upper/lower surgery. My OD made " progress

molds " today to see if I am good to go for surgery. YEAH!!! She

told me that after studying the molds, she would decide if any more

tweaking needed to be done and she would advise me as to her findings

at my next appointment a month from now. She also told me that if

things looked good, she would get with my OS to discuss her findings

with him.

In my opinion, my teeth are in better alignment now then when I had

my first set of braces removed in 1999 . . . and I was very pleased

with the results then. Trust me, I am soooooo glad that my OD is a

perfectionist . . . I just want to get the show on the road. Yes, I

know . . . PATIENCE!!!!!

My question is this, and I know that everyone is different, but . . .

has anyone here had " progress molds " made and if so, after your OD

studied them, were you given the green light to see the OS and begin

the proceedings for surgery or did you need more time in braces.

All responses will be great appreciated.

With regards and best wishes,

Dale
