Hi Sue

Things are going really well now and all of the brusing and the

majority of the swelling is gone - just have slightly swollen cheeks

now.

To be honest the hospital did not give me any list of requirements -

I got most of the information I needed on from this group.

I needed somebody with me for the first week and then I have just

survived with lots of good DVD's for the boredom ( I am not used to

doing nothing)

I have had lots of problems sleeping too due to not being able to

sleep on my front (I just can't seem to get comfy on my back)

The first week after surgery I found it impossible to eat (and to be

perfectly honest didn't have an appitite) so I had lots of those pre

prepared tims of slimfast and lots and lots of pineapple juice and

water - I have however lost 9LBS in two weeks but that seems to have

slowed down now.

I tooks arnica for the swelling and I do believe that that helped me

and I have also had MLD (manual lympathic drainage)- I think both

helped and most people said that i looked a lot less swollen than

they expected.

Please ask away if there is anything specific that you woud like to

know.
