Guest guest
Tammy I live in a little tiny spit in the wind town on the IN state line called burg. I have to drive to Lansing every Mon. (about 3hrs northeast). I go to Sparrow Weight Management Center. It's the only place that would accept MI Medicaid. I have to be on a 12 wk Optifast program before my surgery which consists of 4 wks liquid diet meal replacement and 8 wks transition (this is for insurance purposes). Then, when I get to have surgery I have to go on Optifast again for another 6 wks (doctor's requirements), then I get to have surgery. It feels like it's never gonna happen. in MI 334/Pre-op(tomistic)

Guest guest
The simplest way to explain complex/simple carbs is that simple ones are usually WHITE - sugar, white flour. They are metabolized differently, the complex carbs take longer, thus keeping your blood sugar levels up more steadily. Simple carbs cause your blood sugar to rise up high then drop quickly,.(sugar high) And we all know how a sugar high ends (think of your kids-) You feel tired, hungry and want more food!!! Complex carbs also have way more nutrients than simple. Ann Elliot RNY with choly July 18 2003 291/248/hoping for 150 I will not give up the fight!!!!
