Hey Glenda, I refuse for you to flare... Got that! lol Thanks for the well wishes...The doctor said I was having daily occular migraines and that nothing can be done about them. But if I was to start having them while driving to pull over until it passes because it could cause me to wreck. I waited 3 hours to see this man today to tell me that...Geez! But I really am thankful because it could have been worse. So I will shut up! Glenda, I hope and pray you will feel good soon.

nothing can be done about them

Dear Lu- I find it hard to believe that nothing can be done. Please try and get another opinion. Was he a certified opthamologist or neurologist? No one should have to suffer with something like that on a daily basis!!! Love ya JanetG

Lu, how on earth do you drive with these??? How long do they last? What

kind of Dr is this, an Opthomologist? Do they know what is causing it?

Sorry for all the questions, but this is NOT a good thing. There must be

someone we could badger into a better prognosis - NOT, of course, that I

would ever do such a thing! (If you buy that, I've got a bridge!) I hope

and pray that this is something that can be controlled with meds (yeah, like

we need more meds!) How is this going to impinge on your ability to function

Judy, I too have ocular migraines. It is scarey to drive because you never

know when they will hit. I told Lu, I was driving back from my rheumy visit

when the last one hit. Had to get off the freeway really fast. I knew it

was coming. Well, I ended up in a bookstore. LOL Great place to be when you

can't see. LOL Spent 3 hours there, just sitting... Couldn't even read a

title. Should have just went to the nearest candy store and ate chocolate

for three hours. Don't need to see to do that. LOL I think there are more

in the group who have them too. Is there any connection to them and RP.

Maybe we should ask Cath. Has anyone heard from her lately.??? Miss her.

, I get migraines every Tuesday (chemo day), they are truly nasty.

Are they the same thing? I can't even try to drive when Ihave them, I can't

tolerate any light at all. Love, Judy

Hi Janet,

Yes, He is a doctor for diseases that affect the eye. I am not in any pain, I only have light shows, as calls them.

One thing he did fuss at me about though, I am supposed to turn the TV off in the bedroom from now on and sleep in total darkness. He said this would make you sick, that everyone's body needed that time in darkness, well I can't help I fall asleep with it on. lol I have been doing it all of my life. I guess I will have to figure out the timer...lol

For the past couple of days no light shows???? So I don't know when they will start again but I hope not soon.

Judy, when I was on metho, I would get terrible headaches too. Mine weren't

migraines, but just as painful. I know how you are suffering. Know that you

will be in my prayers especially on Tues. Do you take folic acid? It did

help alot with the side effects from the metho for me. I also took mine at

night, so I could sleep through most of it.
