my first post after surgery

OK, my surgery was on dec 12th. its now the 18th. today is the

first day i have felt OK to sit at my computer. oh man its been a

rough 6 days. i was in the hospital for 3 days. a friend brought

me home and has stayed with me. i *though* i had prepared myself

for this, but LOL i had no clue what this would be like. my

face is still very swollen, i really look like a blowfish. the

liquid pennicillin i have to take 6 times a day tastes absolutely

toxic and i think more of it ends up on my shirt than in my

stomach. I dont have much pain. which is especially good because

the lortab also tastes vile.

its difficult to drink. so i am pretty weak. my nose is stuffed

with dried blood, which i am carefully trying to remove. the area

under my eyes is turning slowly from black to yellow. like i

said, not much pain. just lots of discomfort because of the swelling

and some difficulty breathing----which is just me getting used to

have my mouth banded shut.

And do i need to mention how hungry I am? LOL. sorry if this

message is kinda all over the place. I think im still scatter-

brained from the surgery and the dilaudid they gave me after.

I'll post more later. I'm pooped and it took me 20 minutes to type

this.
