What a great idea. It helps when you have something positive to

emind you about the good things to come....when you're feeling the

worst. Thanx for the idea.

I had the surgery (upper only) for an open bite that was open in the

back (Only my 2 front teeth originally touched). I had the surgery

7 1/2 weeks ago, and after the splint came out at 6 weeks (and still

now), only about half of my teeth touch. The ones that still don't

touch are in the back. The orthodontist feels that it won't take

long to get them touching, but I won't really feel good about things

until they do.

I did not have the situation you mentioned with ending up with

overbite vs. underbite.

Hi Teehee,

I think what you're saying is that there is a bit of an overlap of the

upper front teeth over the lower front teeth? If yes, that is normal.

When you see your ortho again for adjustments, he/she may use some

bands to close up the bite.
