Guest guest
LOL Aletta! Yes, I have had many doctors quote statistics that are only male statistics. I suppose it is not their fault, but I do fault them for quoting the statistic that does not include females in the study. They really should identify the statistic as coming from a purely male study. It really would increase their creditability, at least in my eyes. I just had a cardiologist say that every person has Mitral Valve regurgitation. He claimed that even my husband has it and that it is our newer machines are detecting it. I came home and looked up statics and found that newer machines are detecting it, but they are finding that it is more common in the over 55 age group, anyone younger the cause should be searched for........ Anyway, I think they use statistics as a buffer. By using half truths you can calm or reassure patients.??????!!!! later and hugs, cindy Belinda; cranberry; > It's critical to find a doctor who does not belittle you and is willing to > treat symptoms and give you back your dignity with a working or > 'provisional' diagnosis at the very least.
