Guest guest
Thanks for letting me in this group. I am considering the by-pass surgery and have heard good and bad things about it. I guess its like that with all surgeries. I have been overweight all my life. I have tried all diets, all meds and even binge/purge (that only hurt..ha) I am so miserable with myself and I constantly think about being thin. I am happy with myself as a person but the outside definately needs much work. I am a Christian and I love the person God made me, I just hate what I have done to myself over the years. I done the BMI cal. and it rated me at 39.5%. Can someone please give me some advice or just a boost!! Thanks once again for allowing me to join. It's very encouraging...Christy

Guest guest
I had a time getting my parents behind me as well...of course they are both in their 70s so it is kind of hard for them to totaly understand. My mother keeps saying " you won't be able to eat this, you won't be able to eat that " . But I tell you, it is not about what I may mever eat again....I want to be around longer to be able to eat anything at all....I am a Christian as well and have my church family behind me....so keep the faith sister, it will all come into fruition, it has for me.
