12yo daughter recently classified CF

Hello I am new here. My name is Barbara, I live in South Australia

and my daughter Kristy has recently been classified as CF after 20

months of recurrent chest/sinus problems.

Kristy carries the gene F508, has had 2 negative sweat tests (one at

4 months and one at 9yo), she has no digestive problems. She had

sinus surgery in Feb 2002 and 2 weeks of IV antibiotics to clear up

hemophilus. Hospitalized again on 2/4/02 and spent 24 days on IV

antibiotics to treat pseudomonas, she had a PICC line this time. Now

home on oral and inhaled antibiotics and a one month trial of

Pulmozyme. Kristy and I are going to Sydney in July so she can have a

Nasal test.
