- pain doctor being a jerk

Just got back from the pain doctor. I am in tears. He says he will

not prescribe anymore morphine patches (which I have only had a month

supply) unless I agree to the celiac plexus block again. I have had

two. One which lasted one week, the other lasted 3 weeks. He says

he knows he can get it to last 10 months this time. I went through

alot of pain to have the blocks and then my bowels went on strike of

2 weeks and I had terrible leg pain for 6-7 weeks that finally faded

away. However, he says it will look like I am a druggie if I don't

agree to at least try one more time. He says the most alcohol he can

put in is about 1 tblsp more than last time. I said what if this

does not work - he says we will cross that bridge when we get to it.

Which I take to mean he has an ego problem and won't believe me if I

say it does not work. I don't like being cornered to get the

medicine I need to survive and function normally. Any suggestions.

I am so upset.
