I too take Metamucil twice a day to keep my bowels moving. When I am

really " bound up " , per doctors orders, I drink citrus mitrate and boy

does that clean ya out! lol You can buy it over the counter at most

drug stores.

I believe that using laxitives all the time does reduce them working

for you. Also, your bowels can become dependent on them so I wouldn't

suggest you continue that. Talk with you doctor about this problem

and these ideas. But for me Metamucil is the answer. A tablespoon in

the am and one in the pm DAILY. HOWEVER....start out slowly with

this, because it does cause bloating and cramping if you start out

with too much at once. I would suggest one tablespoon for a few days

at bedtime then increase in 10-14 days to two.

Good luck to ya and don't hesistate to write me if you need too!

Hugs, Elicia
