Pain medicine question. re: Kadian

I went to my doctor for another dreaded attack yesturday. He

mentioned switching my pain medicine from oxycontin to something

called kadian. Has anyone ever had that? Does it work better than the

oxycontin? I see him next week for my monthly scripts so any

information would be greatly appreciated. Also it is getting to the

point where I am constantly taking the medicine just to get through

the day so I was wondering if this is something I should worry about.

Will I be in pain like this for the rest of my life?
