Hi Everyone,

I hope this finds you all doing well... at least as well as can be expected. I

am posting tonight with some sad news...that I hope you all can help me turn

around.

I am enclosing a copy of an IM conversation I had with the mother of the friend

I told everyone about a few weeks ago. He was home from the hospital, but has

since started Chemo and isn't doing well. This was the conversation...

MMcder8091: this is Cindy How are you?

MeanOleRedHead66: Hi Cindy!

MeanOleRedHead66: I'm doing ok... how are you?

MMcder8091: Marty had his chemo yesterday and is not doing real good today.

Has a fever and is swollen it is not going very good. I am fine just real tired

MeanOleRedHead66: I'm sorry to hear that

MeanOleRedHead66: Is there anything that I can do to help?

MMcder8091: I got kicked off sorry

MeanOleRedHead66: that's ok

MeanOleRedHead66: I just asked if there was anything I could do to help?

MMcder8091: Not much any one can do we are trying to get him well enough to

come back home from the hospital

MeanOleRedHead66: he's back in the hospital?

MMcder8091: yes been there since last tuesday. the chemo made him real sick

and he was throwing up blood. he is at borgess room 347

MeanOleRedHead66: would it be ok if I posted the address of the hospital on

the PAI website for people to send him cards and letters??

MMcder8091: he would like that he needs some real cheering up because this has

made him very depressed.

MeanOleRedHead66: I have to go to Bronson in the morning do you think he would

be up for a visit?

MMcder8091: yes he is going for a chest xray in am but he likes visitors and I

won't be there until after 4

MeanOleRedHead66: my appt is at 8:30 and will try to be there before 12

MeanOleRedHead66: I will post his room number and the hospital address on the

PAI website tonight... hopefully we will get lots of cards to him.

MMcder8091: great he will like that thank you have to go now my niece has e

mailed me from texas and I need to know what her doctor told her today she is

sick to comes in bunches

MeanOleRedHead66: I have another friend that is on the PAI forum, her dad had

liver cancer and he is living today. He was elderly and made it... Marty can

get through this too...

MeanOleRedHead66: yes I agree it does...

MeanOleRedHead66: Take care Cindy and if there is anything I can do for you

guys, just let me know ok?

I am hoping that everyone will help to lift his spirits... If you can't afford

or don't have time to send a card, could you please send something to me... even

a short note of positive affirmation... Ecards...whatever, I will print them and

send or take them to the hospital. I knew this young man as a child... it is

going to be very hard to see him int he condition she describes... and I hope

that a prayer or two will be said tonight to help me have the strength I am

going to need to pay this visit.
