I hear ya, even the things we know are good for us can be a chore at

times. I wonder if the Eucerin will thin if you heat it and make it

easier to apply.

I'd pay for a neck/back rub, shoulder massage, a good back scratchin'

or even just someone to wash my hair once a week so I could lay back

and feel something pleasant without having to use my muscles. lol

I can't relax if my house is dirty or cluttered and with the

construction going on here plus my husband's gear for a week long

hunting trip laying everywhere it's been hell lately.

BUT! He leaves tomorrow, the contractors won't be back until Tuesday

and it's going to be clean and quiet here for a while thank god!

Shot night went well. I took it late, wrapped my hips in an electric

blanket because that's where my pain always is (arthritis) and slept

through most of the night and am not hurting this morning.

I must be a slow learner because I should have tried that after the

first shot. lol

Take care,

Gayle

HI Gayle, don't feel bad, I kept fogeting to take some pain & fever reducer

before I took my shot, & to leave it out for awhile so it wouldn't be so cold

going in. Hurts less. I have a real bad aphobia with needles, I'm not kidding I

freak out real bad, always have. But I'm glad everything went well with your

shot. You havn't been trying to make any new oulets there @ your house, have

you??? I told my sister about that, she about died. We were both rolling over

that one. I'll tell ya the shit that goes through our minds. I think those tx

do something to us, other than the sides we experience. Well I woke up up with

my head banging & my eyes all bumpy & swallon. I have alot of trouble with my

eyes. I'm going back to the opthamoligist, jesus I don't even know if I spelled

that right. Talk @ you soon. Take Care!

Hi Gayle,

My hair is doing the same as yours, I had just started growing it out last year,

and it is killing me also to see it in my brush. I am going on my 5th shot

Tuesday. The side effects, besides my hair, are not too bad. I have joint pain

usually after the shot, maybe a little nausea. My worst side is probably

tiredness, I am extremely tired after the shot. I consider myself lucky, I could

be sick like others are. I saw the doctor today, and he was thrilled that I was

doing so good. I have to have blood drawn tomorrow, so we will see how that

looks.

Re: Tim

Here I am!! (waving franticly)

Been down with a bad cold is all, but I'm still kicking. ;-)

Hey Tim, how's it feel to be on the upswing you lucky devil you!!!?

God I can't wait to feel better. lol I'm really glad for you. :)

Pat, my hair is thinning badly already at week 8 but my friends are

taking me wig shopping if it gets too bad. lol

I JUST started growing my hair out a half a year before starting this

and it's really killing me to see my newly aquired wavey locks

hanging off my brush. :(

Oh well... it'll grow back I'm sure and they make some lovely wigs.

lol

So how long will you have to take the procrit you think before you

get a reprieve? I'm happy to hear it isn't making you as sick this

time around. :)

Hey speaking of being all dry and wrinkled (like me lol) try Ponds

and a facial buff puff, you'll be amazed at the difference in your

skin. I use the cleansing one (makeup remover) with the buff and

rinse, then mix the original moisturizer with a little cool water on

my face and wipe it off gently with a damp cool cloth. Works

wonders. :)

Take care,

Gayle

I never thought to take the syringe out of the fridge before hand, I

always just roll it in my hands to warm it. You're right though it

does hurt more when it's cold, I know because I didn't warm it enough

once so I'll try it your way. lol

That sucks having a fear of needles and having to take injections. I

guess it's clear you didn't contract hcv though iv drug abuse. lol

lol Nope, no new holes in my husband or anything but the day is

young. :)

He asked me the other day why the .357 was in the kitchen and I just

smiled and said, " I dunno " . lmao He's scared of me sometimes but

really it was sitting there because we have building materials on a

trailer in the yard and the gun is for whoever wants to try and take

it. I just like to mess with him once in a while. lol

Cripes, your eyes sound painful! Hope the opta-doc (I don't know how

to spell it. lol) can help you out with that. Do you have eye

problems to begin with that the tx is making worse??

I kicked back in the tub the other night (We have an old claw foot)

and put that gel pack over my eyes that came with the Pegasys kit and

it was like heaven. :)

You did get a care kit when you startd tx, didn't you? If not you can

get one from the Pegassist site I think.

Regarding your other message... ROFL Imagine you and I getting

together! LOOK OUT WORLD!!! lol

catch ya later, I need to go clean my Browning. Hubby is taking it as

a back up on his hunting trip this week.

Hope yer eyes feel better!!

Isn't it the pits? You just start liking your hair and it falls out.

lol It'll grow back though according to everyone I've talked to so

don't fret, and there's always wigs! (I'm going to get a big slutty

one if I have to wear a wig. lol)

Yeah the tiredness is my biggest downfall too and I seem to be

getting nothing done these days.

Heat packs or a heating pad will help with the joint pain. I wrap my

hips in a heating blanket on shot night now and it seems to help.

I'm glad you're doing so well and hope your labs say good things. :)

I just had blood drawn this week then go to the doc this coming

Wednesday and I'm hoping for good news.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for us both!

Take care. :)

I did treatment 3 times (not peg) and my hail thinned but not enough to have to

have a wig. I cut my hair short and then it was not so devastating as it didn't

look like as much hair....I have had extreemely think and curly hair and always

wanted beautiful straight hair...well when my hair started comming in after the

first time it was very strait and i could not figure out what to do with it

....it was terriable...then with each secession of treatments when the new hair

would come in it was a little curlier ..So now even though it is not as thick as

it once was it is still pretty curly...when my thyrooid went wacko after last

treatment my hair started thinning also..and i can tell when i am not getting

enough meds for thyroid as it starts falling out .....so hang in there you

should do fine ... GOD BLESS .....tricia S

Thanks Trish, I won't worry about it now since yours came back all 3

times. :)

I know the thyroid regulates all kinds of things and I think I recall

my doc telling me that includes hair.

I'll have to look into that organ and learn a little more about it.

Thanks again!

Gayle :)

Well imagine that, one of us not being able to remember something.

lmao I'm in north central Indiana about 5o miles south of the MI

state line. Howdy neighbor! :)

Oh man they gave me this great kit in a nice black contoured shoulder

bag that had a sharps container, video on self injections, freezer

gel eye mask, preg test, some Tylonal, a little travel bag, all kinds

of pamphlets....

They gave me that right at the doc's office and it's supposed to be

something everyone gets when they start Pegasys. I think they

probably get used up by the office staff a lot of times though. ;-)

I didn't read the other posts yet but glanced through and see sites,

names and numbers to call to get your kit so you're probably all set

up to find it.

So are you going to that doc today for your eyes? I know you don't

feel like going but get your ass in there anyway!! How are you going

to stick yourself if you can't see the needle?? lol

Seriously though I hope it's something very simple and fixable with

drops or meds you can take. For sure let me know!

After hubby left yesterday I went and bought some do it yourself

track lighting that said takes only 15 minutes and a pair of scissors

to install. It took me 3 hours, a drill, 2 strips of wood and every

cuss word known to mankind to get it up. rofl

It's up though and I wore myself out enough that I slept right

through the night for the first time in weeks. lol

Ha! My hubby has it better than he knows. lol Not only did I clean

and let him take my favorite gun but I washed and detailed the truck,

helped him pack, lied and told him I'd miss him (lol), and even went

to breakfast with him and his buds before they left yesterday. I was

so friggin' tired I was all over the road on the way home then

tackled that lighting job and cleaned the house. No wonder I slept

good last night. lmao

Now it's time to relax and concentrate on gayle for a week. :)

Ahhhhhhhh........big sigh......

Take care of those eyes. ;-)

Yes, I'm getting ready to leave in about an hour. I hope they can do something

simple. I hope I don't have to go through a bunch of shitt! And I sure hope

they don't have to keep me, that would really suck!!! Oh and one thing thats

nice about me taking my shots is, my sister gives them to me. any who, I hope

you ejoy your weeks vacation, the peace & quiet huh? Well @ least I won't

have to worry about you installing any new outlets in the house, for the next

week. And you better slow it down some, you're gonna kill yourself doing all

that work. Well I'll let you know when I get back from the Docs. Have a good

day, get lots of rest. Take Care!

Gayle <mollydamaula@...> wrote: Well imagine that, one of us not

being able to remember something.

lmao I'm in north central Indiana about 5o miles south of the MI

Take care of those eyes. ;-)

I avoided doctors and hospitals my whole life and it was a tough

transition for me when I started dealing with this thing. Sounds like

you aren't too fond of them either. lol

You said you have bumps on your eyes? Is it your eyelids? I'm curious

because I'm getting itchy red areas and little bumps around my eyes.

Maybe it's a milder form of what your going through.... I don't know.

Yes I'm ready to take it easy now and only work as long as I feel

like it. :) I curled up with the dogs for a nice long nap today and

it was great to have uninterrupted sleep. No blareing TV, no coming

in to kiss me on the head to make sure I don't have a fever... lol

Even when he's at work he calls 2-3 times a day and wakes me up half

the time.

It must suck to be that in love. lmao Just kidding, I love him we

just fight like cats and dogs sometimes.

Tell sis to type for you if you can't see the keys and let us know

how the eye appointment went, and tell her that's really sweet to

help you out as much as she is. :) She sounds really supportive and

that's so important for you right now. Sometimes just having someone

to lean on is all you need. ;-)

Take care, I'm headed for bed!

Hi Gayle, I know your probably already gone to bed, but I thought I'd write you

back right quick! Yes they are on my eyelids & underneath my eyes. There very

swollan, itchy & red. They are starting to go into the corners of my eyelids &

inside my eyes. My visit to the Doc. today sucked! I ended up seeing this

women (so called Doc) that didn't know what the hell she was doing. Plus she

treated me like shitt!! (BITCH)!!! I did have my bloodwork done, thank God!

Even if I don't have an arm left. So this Doc. said she had no idea what was

wrong with my eyes. She gave me a script for some drops & 1 for an

antihistemine, (which I'm alergic to)!!! She told me to go see my Liver Doc. I

tried to tell her he is a Liver specialist & that is why he sent me there.

Finally I said the Hell with it, I didn't have the strengh to argue with her. So

I'm gonna call my Liver Doc. Monday & just use the drops, after I make sure they

won't interfere with my other meds. I mean it was a

freaking joke! These people including the nurses didn't even know what

Ribaviron was, they asked me how to spell it!!! So I was pisssssssssed! But

than the day got better. Mysis & her family took me out to eat with them &

shopping. I had to be pushed in a wheelchair at the mall but it was ok, my

nephew enjoyed pushing me around. And you know thats the first time i've been

out anywhere in months. I'm very blessed to have them in my life, they're very

good to me. Ok I'm beat, talk to you tomorrow. Take Care!!! I'm glad you're

enjoying the quietness!!!

Oh mine aren't anything like that. Real tiny, not inflammed at all

and only a few of them.

Oh my god you had to be beside yourself with anger not only from them

not knowing what they're doing but to be treated like crap. I really

hate uppity rude people and my husband is always lecturing me about

burning bridges because I tend to let people know when they piss me

off. lol

Doesn't it just kill you to have to pay out money to someone who

knows as little or less than you do about your problem?

I think that aggitates me more than anything about seeing doctors,

paying them to guess what's wrong with me. Hell, I can do that myself

for free.

If the drops don't work you're probably going to have to try a

different doc because it sounds like whatever's going on with your

eyes is getting worse and not better. That sucks and I'm really sorry

you're having to deal with it. Keep me posted, eh?

Sooner or later someone will figure out what's wrong so hang in there

and keep trying.

Maybe a dermatologist would be something to look into?

I bet it felt good to get out and about. :)

Sleep well last night??

Your family is truly a blessing!

Hey Gayle, yeah, I was beside myself. And I'm like you (no holds barred) I'll

let you know real quick if you've pissed me off! But I just didn't have the

strengh yesterday. I just wanted to get the Hellllll outa there. You know all

kinds of thoughts go through your head when you get frustrated & upset & you're

getting no where & you know what you have is very serious & can Kill you!!! So

to say the least wanting to blow up the building ( it not being empty, of

course) did cross my mind a few times. LOL! so I'm gonna call my Liver Doc.

tomorrow & the opthamolagist. Because it's getting worse everyday & I would

really like to keep my eyesight! At least I was able to get out for awhile

yesterday & enjoy myself. My sis and her family are very good to me. And

wednesday my Mom is coming to pick me up for the day. I can't wait! We are

very close, I havn't got to see her in a couple wks. I miss her very much! So

I'm really looking foward to seeing her. And she wants to

take me to get some new clothes & out to lunch. Which I know I won't feel like

going anywhere, but I'm just gonna push myself. I'll be glad I did. So what

going on over there in your neck of the woods? You enjoy the peace & quiet?

Have you heard from Hubby? Ok, well I guess I'll talk to you soon, take care.

Have a good day!

I hear ya, when you feel that crappy there's no argument worth

winning and you just want to be left alone.

They don't have explosives stores up there or anything do they?? lmao

If so you need to steer clear of them! :))

Those are entertaining thoughts though I must admit. lol

Oh how cool that your Mom is coming to take you out. My Mom and

brother are coming here tomorrow for a visit so I think I'll thaw a

few steaks for the grill.

Hubby called when he arrived at the cabin but I'm sure he's been busy

nursing leg cramps at night after cleaning birds. lol

A week long hunting trip sounds great until you realize how old and

out of shape you are after beating brush for 6 hours a day. lol

Everything is quiet here and I got enough done in the barn today to

be happy, but not enough to wear me out. I took it easy. ;-)

I should have that job wrapped up in a few days.

(It's all in the e-mail I sent you)

Talk to ya later, have a great day with Mom on Wednesday!

Hi - sorry it took me so long to get back to you, I got slammed

with a severe case of the flu, and then my RA flared up.... It just sucked

to say the least....but getting a little better each day. So how are you

feeling? I know that sounds like a stupid question while on treatment,

however, I did have days that were a little better than others.....not many,

but some. Are you drinking lots of water, that always seemed to help me.

Know that you are in my prayers daily - and please keep in touch and let me

know how you are doing.

May God keep and bless you and yours!

Luv, hugs and prayers,

marie

Hey Ya'll, well if ya'll remember last week I had lost my meds. So I always

take my shot on Tuesdays, well due to the fact that they had to order me

some more meds, I couldn't take it til Thursday. No I have to take it again

tonite, which will be 5 dys. apart this time instead of 7. I'm real nervous

about this I'm not so sure what kind of side effects I'm gonna have. I

already have real bad side effects as it is now from the tx. I never in a

million yrs. thought it would make me this sick. I can hardly function. I

can't work anymore, Iv'e had to move in with my family, I have loss of

memory & eye sight. Aneimia, hairloss, weightloss, ulcers in my throat &

mouth, thrush. Alot of pain in my hands, arms, & legs. Jesus, I know theres

more. I don't know if I can do this. Not to mention all the emotional &

mental effects. I was already crazy before the treatment, I guess now I just

certifiable. thanks for listening, I'm not so good with talking to people.

almost funny. I will try the ponds sound like a good idea, don't know when I

can go off procrit but hopefully soon. Get tired of pills and shots hope

they don't need to add the other shot for the white count. That one is

slowly coming up but still very low. Very depressed right now but it will

pass lol. love and hugs..pat

Works

wonders. :)

Take care,

Gayle

I'm scheduled for an EGD (scope down the throat) on the 12th to see if

My AST's and ALT's are steadily rising and I'll know where my viral

In the meantime I'm just going to do what I've been doing, staying

Keep your fingers crossed for me. :)
