Welcome to the group ! Yes, we have all been ill from implants....

When you have your explant, be sure it is done correctly so that

you have the ultimate recovery. If the scar capsules are left in,

chances are the chemicals and debris contained in them will

keep you ill.

What you want is called Enbloc where they cut around the scar tissue

and remove the thing as a whole. That was there will be no

spillage into your chest wall. The use of drain tubes will also

help tremendously, keep the fluid off and any debris draining

out of you.

Explant, many times is easier to heal from than implantation. So

glad you found the group, and I hope you have an easy healing

journey.

Please ask all the questions you have. There is a wealth of info

in the archives, even before and after list of questions for your

doctors, and tips to help things be easier for you.

Saline making me sick EXPLANT

Hey All

I got my saline implants in 06, i started getting sick 6 months ago. Very sick!! No longer able to work and spend most of my time in bed. Have lost 30 pounds I never intended to lose and now down to a size 2 jeans!!!

i went to my PS and he said I was having an immune response. i am scheduled for explant May 27th!!!! I cant wait to get these OUT and get on a road to recovery and maybe get well again.

Anyone else having problems??

thanks

thank you,

yes my ps is taking them and the capsules, he said with me having an immune response that hes going to get it all and send to pathology. I would have never put 2 and 2 together if it hadnt of been for the rash that I get around my nipples/scars and all the breast pain!!

my ps is really awesome and Ive already had my preop done. Surgery in 10 days. Also have gallbladder surgery scheduled for 3 wks after explant because in a year I grew gallbladder poylps and stones, have stomach and esophagul ulcers, extreme fatigue and pain, joints ache all over. Massive headaces and allergies just suddenly to seems like everything. I had to come out of work in Jan 10 and dont have any idea when or if I will ever go back. I have hope that once I get the implants out that things will start to get better. Then the gallbladder surgery 3 wks later.

My worries at first was what I may look like afterwards. im nervous as I have fairly large implants but even if it looks like I have 2socks on my chest its not worth me being so sick all the time. im 44 and my husband is in his 50's. So I cant look like I have young boobs forever. but still very nervous. My ps says he is also going to try to fix the muscle as well because my implants are under the muscle. So he says he thinks I will have moderate pain. Which has me a lil worried too. but either way I have got to get better!!

Thank You for your support

Removal of the implants may also lead to healing of your gallbladder.....

I would proceed with caution.......Your body wont be fighting

the chemicals or implants any longer...... the load on your liver

and gallbladder will lesson greatly....

I take mega doses of cap acid for fungal overload, ( long story)

and one of the things it does is helps clean out your gall bladder,

please do lots of research before doing anything else.

I will give you a place to start, but dont believe everything you read,

read everything you can find about the same subject but on many sites.

Always discuss things with your doctor and get second and maybe 3rd opinions.

Listen to your gut instincts.....if you feel any hesitation at all......then

research more....

Journal everything, look for patterns.....what you eat, when you eat, how you

feel physically and emotionally inbetween meals, and this will help you tremendously..

http://www.coconut-oil-central.com/coconut-oil-gallbladder.html

Coconut Oil Gallbladder: Eliminate Gallstones Without Surgery

Coconut oil gallbladder health? Coconut oil makes it possible for you to forget about surgery in dealing with gallstones.

When bile (essential for Fat digestion) in the gallbladder solidifies, it develops into gallstones. This can decrease the quantity of bile released into the intestines and even clog bile ducts. Very painful!

Surgically removing the gallbladder is the customary solution to gallstones. But the humble coconut oil is offering its versatile services in the hope of keeping this invasive approach at a distance.

Coconut oil in your diet is a safe and efficient method of addressing gallstones. The monoglycerides and diglycerides of caprylic acid and capric acid have been found to dissolve human gallstones.

Caprylic (C8) and Capric (C10) acids are two of coconut oil’s potent medium chain fatty acids (MCFA).

The Mayo Clinic and the University of Wisconsin Hospital are witnesses to this totally noninvasive approach using coconut oil.

Yes Patty,

Me to a tee. I got mine in 07 and I am right there with you in bed, most of the time. I am dizzy, confused, major fatigued, nauseous, muscles aching and burning (especially at night), a hard time breathing, low blood pressure, low vitamin D, hypothytoidism, hormone imbalances. Who is doing your explant? I have been researching docs and proper explantation. I want Dr. Melmed but I live in Arizona and I am afraid to call and see how much it is. Also, I started having joint pain. The symptoms seem endless. All I had before implants was on and off low blood pressure, and tired a lot but lived normally, now I'm very sick. Oh yeah, I had ibs before but now I have constant stomach pain and irritation. One implant is too low and causing pain. I'm miserable. Mine did the oppostite of losing weight but caused inability to lose.

Thanks-

Patty, I am right there with you. I am ready to call surgeons for consults for explantation. I am 39 and have large implants also. I am so worried also. Trying to deal with this is horrible, I know. I kept trying to put off explantation because my anxiety is making me sicker, but have to to save myself. Mine are under muscle also. I am hating life right now.

Hi I called dr.melmed last week and it is a little over 7,000. He is very nice and makes you feel so much better. I know since all of these doctors are telling me that I am fine I am starting to feel crazy. He told me that 85 or 87% get better once he gets them out. I hope it works out for you

Hi ,

Yes, I just talked to Melmeds office and an actual patient was there who had gotten them out a few yrs ago. It was so nice to just talk to 3 people, Dr. Melmed, the receptionist, and the patient (and all of you) that all agree it is the other doctors that they say they are safe that are crazy. Do you think you are going to go to him? I wanna try to have the money within a few months, I can't live like this anymore.

I'm concerned about you using the same doc that put them in. I considered that because mine offered me a removal of 1000 but I feel that since he put them in he may not tell me certain things. Like, for instance, if the implants have black mold in them like the picture on this site, and the woman that I just talked to at Dr. Melmed's office had. Or, if there is so much damage to your chest tissue, or growths that he may want to sew up and not properly clean up and just forget about. I'd just imagine the humiliation, guilt and shame if I had put these in someone, and then took them out and saw the damage, and possible fungus, bacteria, and other growth inside. Unless, he will give you the extracted implants. I just don't trust my surgeon because when I went back with him with problems, he was in denial that they could be the cause, said I'd look bad after. So, if he wouldn't admit they cause such damage, how could I expect him to focus on taking all the damage out? In which other women here have said is so important to better chances of recovery or full recovery.

I did see that before about these other docs, but honestly, I don't want to deal with someone that is still ok with putting poison holding sacks for infestations in womens precious bodies. I did look up Dr Warnock, but felt it would be a slap in the face for me to see them still glamorizing these killers. I really respect Dr. Melmed for standing up against all these doctors that still say they are safe, and fully supporting the women in their illness. But, he is expensive but I dk in comparison to anyone else because I didn't check yet. I'm angry and sad. Thanks-

I had the similar symtoms..fatigue, dizziness especially when eating, insomnia, multiple GI issues (acid reflux, indigestion, gas, bloating), h. pylori infection, fibroids, cyst on ovary, lump in breast, weight loss, depression, hives...etc. I was so healthy until after 10 years of implant. It is my 11th year now. I had difficulty functioning until I got acupuncture and moxa. It helped me so much now I am almost normal until the explant. I am scheduing it around July. I found a regular surgeon who will explant including removing the capsules. You do not have to go see plastic surgeon to remove it. A plastic surgeon is more qualified in making things more cosmetic, but a skilled surgeon can do just as good

job on explant. I found an excellent surgeon who specializes in breast issues, who suggested removing the implant and capsules. Most plastic surgeons that I went to questioned me for wanting to remove it. They keep emphasizing that I shouldn't remove it unless I have problems like rupturing or leakage. The breast surgeon was the only one that did not question removal and thought it better to remove it. She is the only one that told me that I need to remove the capsules and would need drains. The plastic surgeons said nothing about removing capsules and didn't see the need for drains. They are not trained to remove. It seems they dod not want to remove the capsules. They are more trained for implantation and not explantation. All the plastic surgeons that I spoke to said that I should put another implant in otherwise I won't be happy. For

this reason, you should not limit yourself to plastic surgeon to remove the implant....a good surgeon who specializes in breast surgery can do the explant if you are not going to put another implant.

One of my friend also removed her implant after rupturing and did not go to a plastic surgeon and went to a skilled surgeon. I think a skilled surgeon is better qualified then a plastic surgeon unless you want to do a breast lift at the same time. My friedn is satified with the surgery and so much happier and feels so much better after removal. She used to be sick all the time she thought she was dying, after removal she said she feels like flying.

Hi. Thanks for all the info. I didn't even think of a regular surgeon. Hmmm. Can you share how much this will cost you? Of course, I'm trying to find capsilecomy, and drains with experience but best price. We are so broke. Dr. Melmed seems great and has experience but is 7k. Thanks-

My friedn is satified with the surgery and so much happier and feels so much better after removal. She used to be sick all the time she thought she was dying, after removal she said she feels like flying.

Yes Patty, Me to a tee. Thanks-

I developed benign breast lump on my left breast after I put in the implant. I believe my implant caused this because I got the lump about 6 months after the implant. I think when you put in the implant it impedes overall circulation in your breast. In Chinese medicined they say it interrupts the normal flow of energy (Chi) and can eventually cause stagnation of your circulation, energy flow, chi and will cause all kinds of problems. Our body is all about energy flow and if you disrupt it it will cause problem later on.

Anyway, I wanted to remove this lump and went to a breast surgeon and she checked my breast and I asked her if I could remove the lump and the implant at the same time and she said yes. She knew about the implant because now days so many women have implant + breast cancer or breast lump. So she was very experienced in removing the implant. This is why she knew that capsules must be removed with drains. She will also try an cover this through my insurance as well so I don't have to pay anything. I will let you know on my next visit about how much she charges for this surgery as I didn't discuss price yet. She also said implant can cause so much irritation and problems. A plastic surgeon will never admit this. If you are not getting lift , you can try and locate a reputable surgeon who performed lot of breast surgery in your area to see what the price is and etc. Also, they

may have different attitude then plastic surgeons. It doesn't hurt to find out.

Hi. Thanks for all the info. I didn't even think of a regular surgeon. Hmmm. Can you share how much this will cost you? Of course, I'm trying to find capsilecomy, and drains with experience but best price. We are so broke. Dr. Melmed seems great and has experience but is 7k. Thanks-

From: sunloves (DOT) comDate: Mon, 17 May 2010 13:19:36 -0700Subject: Re: Saline making me sick EXPLANT

A plastic surgeon is more qualified in making things more cosmetic, but a skilled surgeon can do just as good job on explant. I found an excellent surgeon who specializes in breast issues, who suggested removing the implant and capsules. Most plastic

surgeons that I went to questioned me for wanting to remove it. For this reason, you should not limit yourself to plastic surgeon to remove the implant....a good surgeon who specializes in breast surgery can do the explant if you

are not going to put another implant.

One of my friend also removed her implant after rupturing and did not go to a plastic surgeon and went to a skilled surgeon. I think a skilled surgeon is better qualified then a plastic surgeon unless you want to do a breast lift at the same time. I am in LA. The doctor that I am planning surgery is Dr. Helena Chang at UCLA Revlon Breast surgeon. She is very well known doctor in the field of breast cancer. I will share my experience after my surgery as well. I am planning it around July. I think non-plastic surgeon is just as qualified as long as they have performed a lot of the surgeries because of breast cancer and breast lump. Lot of women had to remove their implant due to cancer.

This is how I feel exactly. I went to my PS today. He said it is time for me to go to silicone. He said that I would be so unhappy with the outcome and a lift would not help either. I didn't go into my symptoms. I told him that they are making my chest hurt and it runs down my arm and he said that it was odd. He is much cheaper only 4500 with lift but I really don't feel safe having him do this. It is a hard choice to make since we are going to have to travel and pay 7000 or more. I just want to get it done right the first time so I think it is worth it. I would be scared that if I GOT MY PS to do it I would have to go spend more money in the long run anyway. Have you ever gone to toxicbreastinplants.com? It is great just

like this place and they have a list of doctors in different states too. talk to ya later, !

From: Lengyel <tracylengyel@...> Sent: Mon, May 17, 2010 2:52:59 PMSubject: RE: Saline making me sick EXPLANT

I just don't trust my surgeon because when I went back with him with problems, he was in denial that they could be the cause, said I'd

look bad after. So, if he wouldn't admit they cause such damage, how could I expect him to focus on taking all the damage out? In which other women here have said is so important to better chances of recovery or full recovery.

Beth's group at Toxicbreastimplants.com is awesome, and she is a sweetie.

There are many groups out there and many of us have become friends. I am

a member of her group too. Meeting people from all over the world has been

a great experience, and quite a support ring.

The PS is just tryin to sell you another bill of goods...I am sorry you are

experiencing that. A good surgeon will do a good job, and you will look

good when healed and all fluffed out again. It can take up to a year

to all fluff out.

You will heal, regain most if not all your health, and you will be amazed,

and happy.

You will become energetic, and when you look in the mirror, you will

smile at yourself again......

Hugs

Hi Everyone,

I had my saline implants in just for just 7 months. Within just 2 days I was in ER they said I had a reaction to my meds. I couldn't walk even get out of bed couldn't eat lightheaded felt like I was going to pass out . This lasted for 2 weeks solid. It did get better but never 100% but then I had to go in and have a lift she didn't due the first time I never recovered afterward. I lost weight had what they are calling brain fog naseau no vomiting lost 2 hand fulls of hair a day my friends said it looked like I was being poisoned. I had heart palpations racing pulse could literally feel my heart pounding outside of my chest. I had ever test ran but a scope down my throat. only 1 vein left in my arm they stick. But everything came back normal. Then in the middle I found out I was pregnant. My OB said get them out if I was in good health before because I am way to sick I got them out 3 weeks ago. The problem is I didn't get them out the right

way. My scar tissue is still in there because they couldn't seditate me. I can't take any medication because of the baby. I had a good 2 weeks now my issues have came back along with chest pain under my sternum. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do next to control the symptoms since my body has to fight it on its own that won't harm the baby. Thanks for reading

Hey Patty,

I'm Patty too! I am sorry to hear of your illness, but it surely sounds like

what I went through and what thousands of other women have gone through too. If

you've done any reading at all on the group, you will have discovered that by

now, and it is not a pretty thing. It's downright depressing.

But the good news is that many, many, many women have gotten their life back

with proper explant and detoxification programs that they can implement at home

safely and effectively.

The key is PROPER explant. I am excited to hear that you have a doctor who is

listening to you! Would love to know who this is, and if they are doing an en

bloc removal? If not, are they doing a total capsulectomy? With drains?

You for sure want to know that he is going to remove all of the scar

tissue...make sure that you have discussed that part.

Congratulations on your upcoming surgery...keep us posted.

Patty

My implants were under the muscle too, and my explant recovery went quite well.

You may want to look into doing a gallbladder flush before you have the surgery

to remove your gallbladder. Sometimes the flush will be so effective that you

can avoid having surgery, and recover the function. I myself have done a number

of liver flushes, and have read wonderful testimonies on www.curezone.com about

people who have cured all kinds of things with liver flushed, from allergies, to

lupus and more. It's worth the effort just to say you tried it. In fact, I

believe a doctor wrote on this group about how his father was supposed to have

gall bladder surgery and wanted to do the liver flush first, and this doctor

fought against it, but realized after it was done that his father had been saved

from the surgery..the liver flush was very effective! If you want me to find

that post, just let me know and I will look.

At least give it a look. Sometimes removing the gallbladder can lead to more

complications down the road (digestive issues).

Wishing you healing!
