low blood sugar

I just found out that my glucose level was 56 last night when I went to the ER.

I had eaten some cheese crackers and jelly beans on my way home from work before

I had the attack. I guess it had probably been about 1 1/2 -2 hours since I'd

eaten by the time they did my lab work. I am wondering if the blood sugar

dropping with my episode of pain caused me to have trouble breathing and the

clamminess. I also felt like my brain was in a fog during this episode. These

were the same feelings I had when I took the flexeril and

mepergan(demoral/phenergan) on Monday night. I posted about that and most

seemed to think it was some sort of reaction to the combination of meds.

However, when I had the episode last night, I had not taken the meds. Monday

night, when I had the episode of feeling brain fog, trouble breathing, and

clammy I didn't have pain with it. Tuesday night I had the same symptoms but

had the horrendous pain and vomiting, also.

I'm just wondering if something going on with the panc could be causing these

blood sugar drops and the really weird brain fog, clammy feeling, and trouble

breathing.

Another thing that seems weird is that the pain meds seem to be really hitting

hard all of a sudden. I'm not complaining because they seem to be working

better than they have in the past few weeks. It's just weird because each time

I take something, I all of a sudden am getting this weird brain fog rush sort of

thing that lasts for about 20 minutes. I've taken enough pain meds in the last

month and normally can continue functioning even on pain meds. The feeling I'm

getting now is sort of like when you are given a massive dose of IV pain med.
