Guest guest
Hello, My name is , I had the opportunity to meet Karyn several years ago, both through the internet and in person, back at a time when there were very few of us known. I remember that there were probably arounrd 100 give or take a few. Oh how time flies even when you are not having fun. I have two congenitial defects of my pancreas, I have an annular pancreas and pancreatic divisum ( just in case any others may suffers from the same types of problems, which in turn causes chronic pancreatitis) I have been told that my prognosis is poor,I have been ill since 1996.I won't bore you all with all the ercp's, stenting, sphinterotomies, celiac plexus blocks too many to count, all the surgeons all too willing to explore my anatomy, who could promise me nothing ( well we don't know what we will find we will have to deal with it when we see it, but most assuredly that pancreas will have to come out, problem 1. my pancreas is entirely wrapped around my small bowel thus leaving me unable to eat only tpn and with the promise of a life expectancy of about 2 years and chronic infection in my liver because of the way they would have to put back my large bowel with my liver, I have choosen against any further surgeries, no further pancreatic testing, and no extremes in attempting to prolong my life, there have been a few things that I have let the Dr.s do like giving me potassiumn IV and additional IV pain medication when I just can't stand it anymore, Well I won't waste anyones time any anymore.
