Guest guest
Mark, Thanks for the input & the websites. Although I'm not dismissing your advice, I really don't think I have narcolepsy as this does not happen to me every day. I seem to go through bouts--other days I'm just exhausted and feel fatigued. I'm on the Elavil because it is also used for chronic pain. I know that I have every right to be depressed, I don't feel that I'm suffering from it on a daily basis. I have a loving, supportive husband & family, a doctor (doctors, in fact) who have been very helpful, sympathetic & honest in helping me with this disease. I have good health insurance (though no prescription plan) and many other things to be very thankful for. I'm able to work part time & have been managing my pain & nausea pretty well during the day. Night time is a different story, however. As soon as I recline at the end of the day, things start up. The only answer I can come up with is that my pancreas is worn out at the end of the day--or it is being pressured by other body parts when I try to lay down. I also am awakened by bouts of nausea at night--which then lead into indigestion & belching. I have NO idea WHY this happens almost every night. I got off on a tangent--my apologies. Again, thanks for the input & the websites. I did wonder through them--interesting reading. Cheryl in Illinois
