Guest guest
I have been reading the posts about insurance coverage or lack thereof and I am feeling more and more lucky to have the coverage we have. My husband has a great job that pays the majority of his premiums and pays for a large portion of mine and our son with CF. It has paid for absolutely everything--all the appointments, equipment, medicine, referalls out the wazoo, formula, g-tube supplies, etc. All I pay is the $10 dr appt co pays and the prescription co pays which range from $10 to $35. In fact, Ashton's g-tube supplies are delivered to our door every month. I am guessing that he has cost the insurance companies over $400,000 considering he was in the NICU for 10 weeks and has had 4 surgeries. I am sorry to hear about all the problems that others are having. I can't imagine the stress of CF compounded with the stress of dealing with insurance companies or paying cash for all this stuff. -- (mom to Ashton 16 months wcf)
