Guest guest
Hi, Do very-low doses of accutane really work in getting rid of ALL the little postules and pustules that come with cea and for how long? Anyone tried this with them? Is 10mg's a day for 5 months a good plan to be on? Are there still side effects with this low of a dose? Thanks
Guest guest
You make the call... Here are 4 experiences with low dose accutane. First case, male started low dose treatment for redness and burning 10 mg every other day...first couple months it really helped alot then did not see anymore improvments and decided to stop. Second case, male took 10 mg every other day to control postules and pustules....worked fine while on the drug then after 7 months of taking it.. started to experience hair thinning ..decided to stop...postules and pustules slowly returned. Third case, male took 10mg every other day for roughly 2 years to control oil and break outs.. after stoping the drug due to hair thinning and joint problems the oil and break outs slowly returned. Fourth case, male taking 10mg every other day for the past year to control oil and break outs...experienceing some hair thinning will try to take the drug for another 6 months. Guest guest
I also tried low dose accutane specifically for the bumps. I did it for a month at 10mg. It did take away all the bumps and I could eat anything I wanted. It also took away all the excess oil. However I knew this was not going to be a good long term solution and didn't want to take chances when it came to my internal health. I have read over and over on how antibiotics disrupt your digestive flora. So I stopped after one course. What I noticed since this time is that I can feel the large bumps coming on. This usually happens if I eat something that doesn't cooperate with me. I have been staying away specifically from wheat and gluten grains similar to what Suzi LeBaron has written about. When I don't do this I start getting indication of bumps coming on. Then I begin drinking water like crazy and guess what no bumps the next morning. This has worked for me since the time I have been off accutane. That was two months ago and still no bumps. This takes dedication in watching what you eat, but I rather do this then take something that might lead to worse problems later. At this moment I am clear of any bumps and have not taken accutane since mid August. If anyone has anymore questions please feel free to write me. Take care Chris
