We are sorry for the confusion and disappointment we caused with the ingredient change to our hot dogs. The good news is we have made the decision to remove all sugars from the hot dogs. In fact, this has already happened in our production facility and should start showing up in stores very soon. Please continue to watch the ingredient statement for this change. And thank you for sharing your story. It is very rewarding to know that we are touching lives in such a personal way. I wanted to ask you a favor. I have gotten several emails over the course of the last 24 hours from several concerned consumers regarding this issue. I am assuming that the ingredient change in our product was posted on some bulletin board or website. Is it possible to share with the entire community that our products are being changed to remove the sugars? I know that many people may not take the time to write us and therefore, won't get the good news. We would really appreciate your help in getting the word out. Thanks, Kuykendall Applegate Farms Phone/Fax www.applegatefarms.com Believe in what you eat , Hello, my name is a ***** and my 16 month old son, Graham, has autism. The Specific Carbohydrate Diet has saved my son's life. He had extreme diarrhea and weight loss as an infant. I was so happy to have found your hot dog products for daily, easy, and convenient meals. I would be very grateful, as would my son (he loved the hot dogs), if it was possible to remove the evaporated cane juice from your products. Thank you for your consideration in regards to this. Guest guest
So, are the hot dogs legal now? And I asked a question about Applegate Farms sliced turkey from the deli (ingredients: turkey, water and sea salt) I ended up having some because I've been so weak and tired and can't make much for myself. It didn't seem to make me any worse at least! I made sure to get it sliced because the one they sell already packaged is illegal due to carageenan. > > a: > Where can one purchase Applegate farm hotdogs in the Toronto area? > I get them in Michigan when we go in summertime, but we have run out of > stock! > Would appreciate info. > Thanks, > > > erica lelle lelle@...> wrote: > ** Start at the bottom and work your way " up " . Guest guest
They are in the PROCESS of reformulating the hot dogs witn no sweeteners. But to my knowledge, the ones in the store still have sugar in the beef and chicken types. I would just make sure to have the slicer cleaned before having anything from the deli slices.
