Memorial Day Weekend Update....

Hey .....

I went to check out this new YMCA about 5 miles down the road.Its in the

neighborhood where they have 1million + $$$ Homes so you can probably guess

that this was no Ordiniary YMCA. It had a big outdoor pool with a big

waterslide...big kiddy pool,nice concesion stand with bottled

water,Snapple,ect, a rock climbing wall,Indoor track,2 basketball courts,HUGE

indoor pool,Kiddy indoor water park, racketball,even a 2 minute bathing suit

drier in the womens Dressing rooms....YADA YADA YADA...but its $75 a month

for a year and a $250 up front cost. Kinda steep if you ask me for just my

husband and I. He won't even use it all that much.They will not let anyone

do any other the classes there without a membership.I dunno about you but the

ones that I went to growing up were available to anyone..they just had to pay

for the classes or pay to use the pool...I guess they want the area exclusive

to the Wakefield area....Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.....They have cycling classes ( a

person has their own bike and they cycle for an hour) and was thinking that

it would be great to do as rehab...but we cannot swing it...Oh well.It just

opened in January.

I did something stupid though..... I took my 02 off when I went in...I had it

in my purse but not on......I wanted them to see me not the 02 for once. I

dunno why but I felt self conscious around them.Anyways I almost passed out

flat on the floor there...it was so embarressing....I guess it was b/c it was

so warm and whatnot...I only had the 02 off maybe 3 mins when it happened and

they hadn't even given me the tour.The lady there thought I had the worst

asthma she'd ever seen. I told her I didn't have asthma and tried to explain

things but she just comments...Oh when did you catch it.

....Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Anyways....I won't try it again...or at least for awhile...haha.Its just that

my body is so used to low 02 sats that I really don't get out of breath until

they are in the 70's.....

no joke....

So how is everyones Memorial Weekend plans going? I think we may try to go to

the beach tomarrow....YAhhhhhhhhhhhhh...Get some sun.The only thing is my

hubby wants to bring the dog.I love my dog but you really cannot do anything

( lay out, go swimming..although I don't swim in the ocean ) with her.She

digs holes and kicks sand on everyone...Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh......I am not up

to walking anymore either....Brad walks like a mile everytime he goes to the

beach. Its really hard for me with my arthritis, the backpack with the

02,ect......But his feelings get hurt when I don't walk with him.....I think

I'll leave it all up to him this time though.....

I am gonna go see if the next neighborhood over will let me use their

pool...they actually have 2 of them. I'll walk in with my 02 this time.... at

least I'll look pitiful..haha. Maybe they will give me a break.....

Anyways thats it for now....Brads at work and I am sooo bored....then again

maybe I'll take a nap...we'll see.

Is it me or does the heat really affect you guys..I get SOOOOOOOOOOOO tired

and drained and my heart rate goes sky high.....Plus the breathing

thing..haha.
