Heidi,

I guess by now you know I had neither the CT scan or the hysterectomy. I wound

up in ER Tuesday a week ago because I blacked out. Had two blood transfusions,

lots of potassium and have an abdominal infection. Yuk! No one will touch me

for surgery right now. Also got diagnosed with diabetes. This hasn't sunk in

real well. My former husband died of complications due to this. Kinda scared

right now. I just find it amazing that 6 months ago, I was a relatively healthy

person that took care of other people and now I feel so useless. I know there

is a reason, but it sure would help my moral if I could find it out now. lol!

Anyway, thanks for the flowers, I really do appreciate you being here. You are

special.

Dear Joy,

It sounds as though you have found a " keeper " with this new

doctor, and I'm so glad that you were able to see someone that

sounds so educated, compassionate and in touch with what's

really been going on with this disease. It is such a blessing to

find someone like that who will really listen and who treats you

with respect for your knowledge and your questions. That's such

great news!

If we don't hear from you before then, good luck with your

CT-scan and then the hysterectomy next Friday, and take good

care prior to that.
