Guest guest
I have always had very low blood pressure, allergies and a history of topical hydrocortizone use since childhood. My symptoms of rosacea began after my pregnancies in my middle 30's age range, and responded to " Allegra " and oral antibiotics, no petroleum products in skin lotions or moisturizers. Thank you so much for this group.
Guest guest
, I don't think anyone was implying that low BP is a problem per se...I certainly wasn't (I'm grateful to have it). I was just noticing that it seemed to be a common rosacean characteristic...and perhaps caused by " excess " nitric oxide in our (rosaceans) blood or skin or whereever. Just a point of similarity and perhaps causal since the nitric oxide is a vasodilator. The low BP seems to be accompanied in a goodly percent by low body temp and a sensitivity to warmth or insensitivity to cold however you wish to state it. And, low to no sweating seems to be a " popular " characteristic too. I hadn't asked this question before...but, perhaps irritable bowel is common too. I've seen several mentions of it. Guest guest
I have low blood pressure and a fast pulse, too. Always have. Drs always comment my blood pressure is low, but are not concerned. Patty > To weigh in on the BP issue: Mine is usually in the > low 100s-120 over 70ish. Guest guest
Matija - excellent work finding that article. I think the theory that we have too much nitric oxide may be true and the fact that we have too much causes us to have lower bp in general. People without rosacea who have low bp have it for other reasons.
