Guest guest
I was doing some searching on the web, and came across a pretty comprehensive medical site. I was looking up a little more info about possible treatments for facial swelling, prompted by a very helpful post by Matija about a possible regimen. Well I have been confused by two things. 1) People on this board have been talking recently about Aspirin helping with facial redness and facial swelling. However, I have read in several places that Aspirin is known for causing Angioedema (generalized swelling often of the face). Any explanations? 2) One thing this sight recommended for treating pesky swelling is taking Epinephrine. It said that epinephrine helps swelling by increasing peripheral vascular resistance, reversing peripheral vasodilation, systemic hypotension, and vascular permiability. I did a search of the archives to see if anyone on here had ever mentioned Epinephrine before as a possible treatment for cea. I found ten messages, of which I read 6. All 6 talked about Epinephrine causing vasodilation, facial flushing, burning, etc. Several messages talked about trying to block epinephrine with betablockers in an attempt to control cea. Well, I'm officially confused! Would Epinephrine be good or bad for cea? (Especially for swelling) Adam
