Guest guest
I am on this list for rosacea and I am amazed at how many people also have digestive problems. As I once did. I started taking acidophilus about seven years ago and have been better ever since. The brand I take is Allerdophilus, it is made by Twinlab. I will start taking a higher dosage and see how it affects my rosacea, on the chance that these two problems are related :-) Also, I tested two new remedies for rosacea: 100 % cucumber gel-turns red and burns slightly, not good olive oil-jojoba is better, and olive burns your eyes if it gets in them Take care, Connie ________________________________________________________________________ Message: 12 Date: Mon, 31 Dec 2001 13:39:47 -0500 Subject: Re: Stomach problems I have recently started taking acidipholus and I do believe that they have helped me. I have had severe seborrheic dermatitis and nothing I tried worked including steroids and other vitamin regimens such as B5 and fish oils. I started taking the acidophilus and my sebderm has improved dramatically over the last month--I take about four pills a day, 2 in AM and 2 in PM. I have acne rosacea as well and it is hard to determine if the acidipholis is helping these symptoms but it has definitely worked for the sebderm (red, oozing, flaking patches on forehead, eyebrows) I have also had some severe GI problems as well over the past 8 years but that has recently improved due to a drastic change in diet and perhaps the acidipholus has helped also. For me diet, very limited dairy and very limited alcohol has helped control the GI issues. Bottom line, acidipholus is really cheap and easy to take and I have never read of any negative side effects--give it a try. > >To: rosacea-support >Subject: Stomach problems >Date: Sat, 29 Dec 2001 19:47:17 -0000 > >I'm just curious....do most of the rosacea sufferers on this board >also experience stomach/gastro-intestinal problems as well?
