Guest guest
I found a new web site that is a doctor search. It is found in partners against pain. Usually when I find a doctor search, they are all dead ends. Terry, I put in Kansas City, MO and it came up with 28 pain doctors. Check it out: http://www.partnersagainstpain.com/html/drfind/ Karyn E. , RN Founder / President Pancreatitis Association Intl. Guest guest
Karyn, When I tried to get into this link it told me that " this virtual directory does not allow access. " or something along that line. Thanks. KarynWms@... wrote: I found a new web site that is a doctor search. It is found in partners against pain. Guest guest
Dear , Thank you so much for thinking of me - I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Fortunately, I have an appointment for May 7 with a new PM doc/Psychiatrist named Terri Long at KU Med; I've had the appointment for over a month now - she's pretty tough to get in to see. She's who was recommended to me when I called KU initially, even before I had a PCP there or before I was in the hospital for a stay this month. While there, I mentioned her to several of my caretakers, and each time, the face of the person that I mentioned her to lit up with delight... which made me feel good. Apparently she comes highly recommended not only by her professional peers, but clients as well, which I think is superb. I only hope that she can live up to her reputation! I was visited by her RN while in the hospital, which pleased and impressed me. She was unable to come by, but still I thought it was good that she sent somebody from her office. Her RN was quite impressive, and actually she is the one who wrote her suggestions for the pain meds that I'm on now, with Terri writing the Rx's, and I have to tell you - I have not been this well since the drama began two years ago. My pain is at an all-time low and has remained so since I've been out of the hospital, which will have been one full week tomorrow. And the other (possibly even BETTER) great news is that I'm not overly medicated, in fact I don't feel medicated at all. I'm on what is (for me) the lowest doses of narcotics that I've been on in two years as well. Today I scrubbed the kitchen, potted three plants, mowed for about three hours, paid some bills, cleaned the cats bathroom, took four bags of paper to be recycled, did a little shopping and caught up on some laundry. Last month it would have taken the WHOLE month to get that much done - if I'd even had the energy to attempt ANY of it... which I would probably not have. So needless to say, I'm feeling cautiously cocky. Okay, not cocky, I promise I do know better. Just pleased as punch and very grateful, and hopeful that it lasts a while. Sorry, meant this as a simple " Thank you " and now I have a missive. Anyway, it's good news from Lake " Woe-be-gone " for this week... I am praying for the same for each of you. Peace & Good Fortune, Terry in KC << KarynWms@... wrote: I found a new web site that is a doctor search. It is found in partners against pain.
