Guest guest
Hi, I am confused at how to go about withdrawing from topical steriod induced rosacea. I have ceased using it for 5 days now and I am applying metro-gel both morning and night, with moisturel lotion at night and skin ceuticals zinc based sunscreen/ or oil of olay zinc sunscreen during the day. I am not currently taking any oral antibiotics as I have seen suggested in many articles. I thought I might try a minimum approach first. But as I read on...it seems that withdrawl from steriod creams can be quite long and painful... Does anyone have any experience with this, and what treatment you followed? I was using the steroid cream to calm the redness and itching about two years ago...and sporatically since, and sense that I have only aggrivated and induced this condition. My cheeks are extrememly dry and red and patchy..bumps occasionally, itchy beyond believe at times...moisturizers don't seem to soften these patches... Any experience and solutions are welcome.
