Guest guest
HI, Is there a mouthwash anyone has found, that doesn't make your face feel like it is on fire? Thanks, Tammy turkeys@...
Guest guest
My dentist recommends scope for just regular mouthwash usage (breath issues). She said that only people who have gingivitis need something like listerine, since it's so strong. She suggested the Act or Act II mouthwashes for me and my daughter, since they contain Flouride. She said that Plax really isn't what it claims to be. Act is great because you squeeze out only as much as you need. Act won't really do anything for bad breath. Use a good minty toothpaste for that. You can brush your teeth throughout the day, but make sure that you use a soft toothbrush. For anything like ulcers in the mouth or sore throat, rather than use listerine, dilute salt in warm water and gargle with it. I hate doing that, but it works. Salt water is good for lots of problems. In the southern states, we get lots of mosquitos, so if you're covered with mosquito bites, you go out in the ocean water and it will heal faster because you're soaking in salt water (that's just a fun example My mom's cure-all solutions for everything: Drink lots of water, get more sleep, and gargle with warm salt water. If anyone has specific dentist-related questions, I have a dental appointment in about 5 hours, and I can try to ask then. You can email me at matthea_gans @ yahoo . com (remove spaces). > HI, > > Is there a mouthwash anyone has found, that doesn't make your face > feel like it is on fire? > > Thanks, > Tammy > turkeys@m... Guest guest
I use a mouthwash that had flouride in it, so you're supposed to only spit it out, not swish with water or eat or drink anything afterwards. Should I be worried about swallowing any illegals from it? Or is it so tiny that it doesn't matter? It might depend on how badly you need that flouride. If you aren't allowed to rinse with water it seems like you would end up ingesting a little bit of it but whether that's a problem or not for you I cannot say. My dentist wanted me on a flouride toothpaste a few years ago and I couldn't handle it, no matter how much I rinsed. I do have trouble with things in toothpaste so I get plainer ones from the health food store. The flouride is really strong chemical stuff.
