Guest guest
Are there any other people here that can't get a diagnosis, but stay on this list because your instincts are telling you that you have pancreatitis? I cannot get the guts to say to the doctors 'I think I have pancreatitis'. We do talk about pancreas problems but they will not do an ERCP until blood tests show I have raised levels. ERCP's seem to be scarce in Aus. Also, does anyone get when the pain is more severe, the feeling like they've swallowed a rock and it's stuck in the chest? I've had that for 2 weeks now. The doc gave me Losec (prescription stomach acid reducer) but it's not doing a thing. I'm worried.
Guest guest
I have no definate diagnosis but when I found this site and read what I've been reading..it all fits so perfectly. Unfortunately it fits..but then on the other hand it helps to have the knowledge..and now that I've experienced the hospitalization and I had prior knowledge about what to ask for and how to be assertive about it because of finding this message board. I wrote down the info I got here and took it to the doctors and they have been very good about listening and agreeing with much of what I have shown them. I've had no problems with getting pain meds and the doctors are now ordering an ERCP next..obviously my instincts were right. After all, who knows our bodies better than ourselves?? Trust your gut. Isn't that an awful thing to say when it appears that " our gut " can't be trusted..well ..you know what I mean.. {{hugs}} Tummy > Are there any other people here that can't get a diagnosis, but stay on this list because your instincts are telling you that you have pancreatitis?
